June Currently

Hello World!

It has been awhile...a very long time.
This past semester was long and rough.
But I am on Day 7 of summertime.
I love summer.
I especially love it as a teacher.
Its just a great time to recharge, catch up on important things (like Netflix Binges), and start thinking of the new upcoming year.

So I am back.  I am linking with Farley from Oh Boy in Fourth Grade for the June Currently!

Several Things are happening during the month of June:
1. My school is getting a new reading series, so I am working hard on creating resources ahead of time.  This is huge goal because I am a terrible procrastinator.
2. I am moving out of my parent's house and into my own space.   My new home will be about 5 minutes away from my school.  With moving into a new space comes lots of decorating ideas and new pretty stuff to buy.
3. I am starting my Masters in August.  I am working on applying and getting my stuff sent in.  I am so excited to be back in the classroom as a student.  I miss the college atmosphere.  I have also heard from lots of other teachers that you learn so much more during your Masters program than your Undergrad.
4. Don't worry!  I am making sure to make time to do absolutely nothing.    This has been one of my favorite parts.

Don't forget of link up with Farley for the June Currently.  Also, click on the photo to donate money to help towards Texas flood victims.

  6. I love days without alarm clocks! Enjoy your time back in college! I found it was nice to have "me" time when I was working on my Master's, plus you get to meet so many other teachers from other schools! Have fun! Carol's Teaching Garden
